Ain't No Other Look?
Is it just me? Or is it when any celeb gets a makeover they go for that 40's glamour/Marilyn Monroe look, or they always have had sported that look. You know what I mean; red lipstick, bombshell blonde hair, black eyeliner, (like Marilyn) and classy looking outfits.
A recent one who's given up her skanky backround is Christina Aguilera. Although she looks a lot better, she has taken up the Marilyn. One to finally give it up is Scarlett Johansson. She threw away her red lipstick, and is going for the more au-naturel look.
Celebs who do sport the look or have recently: Christina Aguilera, Gweneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Stefani, Renee Zelwegger, Drew Barrymore, Kelly Osbourne, etc...

New and Natural, so many people are eminating past fashion styles from the 50's up to the 80's when we should be creating our own looks. We're six years on in the 2000-2010 era and we haven't really established many new styles that future people will want to copy like we do from the 1900's!
One person you forgot, Pink.
i love the marilyn monroe bombshell look, but yeah, it seems to be everywhere in hollywood these days. i think christina carries it really well though.
id definetly go with the natural. i think the only person who can look the best in the classic look is marylin. great blog!
I think we should be creating our own new styles, but you can't stop me from loving the classy past styles of the 60's (not hippy style, but breakfast at tiffanys style). But the 70s 80s and 90s (fashion wise) can go to hell.
Is Frapp short for Frappachino? i agree with Frappachino as well... we should be wearing aluminum and plastic and shiny moon suits! like they do in the cartoons! i think the best styles were from the 90's! they are the best! the middle ages were pretty cool to hahaha! but nothing can beat the 90's hahaha! oh and the parachute pants were so cool those should come back in style.you may notice tho that in the past years it was mainly womens clothes that were changing. i think that now that we wear what we want to (except in school where you have to wear skirts to the floor and t-shirts to your weenis*) the style wont change so much... (* elbo skin)
ps. cakeup should be against the law!
uhm its not only natural and Maryllin monroe the bomshell. Its about Glamour. If you observe soem other celebritys you can see they dotn all go by the same guidelines.
but i still like the point you made. [:

it's not that i think the look is ugly when people pull it off. like christina looks so much better and she's pretty now, it's just that i'm getting fed up
I think some of the celebs can make the Marilyn work, and others cant. For instance, I think Gwen Stefani just looks great with her red lipstick and platinum hair.
