Since When Did This Become Acceptable?

It's so bad, it's funny. I mean common, I can't express my hate towards these shirts. (ahem... ae graphic tees) I mean who comes up what's written on this shirt, cheap romance novel writers on pot? They're not even worthy of me writing more. They're not worthy of this post, or blog.

For more fugly tees go to ae.com

Hahahah! I saw an even worse one at old navy, it was amazing... I would have bought it had it not been more than one dollar... But unfortunatly it was and why some one would spend more that a dollar on a shirt like that is beyond me! They kind of reminde me of the quotes on the walls of our school. It makes me wonder who is coppying who... Does the school steel the quotes of the t-shirts, or do the t-shirts steel them from our school?

Omg the worst thing is that so many girls at my school wear shirts like that all the time! It's like just because something is from ae it's suddenly drop dead cool, which from looking at those tee's, is very untrue.

Where the hell did I put my tiara?!?! Mommy, Mommy buy me another tiara! And make it match my ae graphic tee!

That's the image I get when I think of how annoying these are.

Yeah, some of them are really tacky, but the on the left is really cute. sometimes its nice to have a shirt thats inspirational...
you shouldn't all write something off just because some of them are horrible

yeah and i hate how the writing is on them. the only people who can wear them with you still being able to read it are too skinny. it not natural! and plus...too see through! that really bugs me. a lot
and i'll try to figure something out. thanks for the help though. I'll see what I can do!

I think a lot of ae things are cute, but the shirts like "Hello...hello...is anyone out there? out there?" with a bird on it and "there is a lot of energy coming from everywhere" stump me. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???

Mmm, yeah I don't get the point of ae tees either. Is it suppose to look tacky, or is it unintentional?

i think some ppl could pull it off... but yeh it is a little tacky

Extra long shirts are ok... But the graphic thing??? Really annoys me everytime.... Eversince...

i think some slogan tees are better than others, sometimes with these slogan tees there's a fine line btw tacky and cool...and it also depends on who's wearing the shirt.

but since it's from ae or af, then way too many ppl are going to be wearing this shirt.

i never feel comfortable wearing shirts with any writing on them at all... i hate feeling like people are staring at my chest (even though i dont have much to stare at!) but, grossss!! i dont want someone reading stuff offf me!

I agree completely. When society has gotten to a point where you have to base your life on sappy inspirational quotes that you read off fridge magnets, bumper stickers, and the worst of the worst: somebody's breasts (man breasts too) it's a sad thing.

Well,
I don't agree with cathi. I don't mind writing something like ugly t-shirts(not tees)off, because I see sooooooo many people wearing those shirts. When things get too popular, the people who would actually look good in them won't even bother trying to make it look good, because they know it's impossible to be even mildly acceptable in something so common. Plus they aren't even nice in the first place. And, don't worry there was a time when I liked them too, however now I've realized that they are heinous.

I totally agree - those shirts are just not nice! The font looks slightly cheap, too. You'd think AE could come up with something slightly better!
